ST JOHN’S WORT
Has been used for centuries as a “rescue” skin remedy. Its active components are effective at wound-healing as well as reducing itching and pain. It helps to inhibit the growth of antibiotic resistant bacteria and viruses. It is effective in eczema by strengthening the skin barrier thus not allowing Staph bacteria to overgrow and cause inflammation. By helping the skin to keep building cells, it helps to reduce water loss and allows the skin to repair.
PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS FLOWER
Great at wound repair and allowing the skin layers to heal without scarring due to high levels of potassium, iron and zinc. Its anti-inflammatory effect is due to antioxidants as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids and Vitamin E.
OLIVE OIL
Composed of monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants to reinforce the integrity of the skin barrier and help reconstruction.
THYME OIL
A potent antibacterial and stops the spread of germs such as B. cereus, E. coli, campylobacter and salmonella which are known to cause a range of painful skin conditions. Thyme also allows for faster wound healing and fading of scar tissue by stimulating blood flow.
LEMON BALM
Has an antiviral effect and can help to slow down and inhibit the herpes simplex virus and can speed up healing once an outbreak has started.
ZINC OXIDE
Creates a physical barrier and helps to heal keloids by stimulating collagen. It helps with itching by reducing histamine. The antibacterial action is effective with underarm and foot odour.

I have been using this laundry powder exclusively ever since I discovered it at the Farmers Market in about 2018. It's lovely to use, easy on the hands and washes clothes very well. But best of all, it was developed from scratch by an enterprising Australian scientist from mostly organic ingredients grown on her own property. This product has now won many awards.
